Man who had pig kidney transplantation discharged

Richard Slayman, 62, received a genetically-modified pig kidney transplant at Massachusetts General Hospital, becoming the first living recipient worldwide. He was discharged from the hospital on Wednesday. Two weeks after the surgery he is no longer on dialysis.
