Australia's H5N1 bird flu case had traveled to Kolkata: WHO

A child in Australia contracted H5N1 bird flu after traveling to Kolkata, India, with no known exposure to infected people or animals. The WHO confirmed the subtype H5N1 virus and the child's hospitalization dates. The child experienced symptoms such as fever, coughing, and vomiting. As per the latest update, the kid had traveled to Kolkata from Feb. 12 to Feb. 19 and returned to Australia on March 1.
